While most items can be shipped via pallet, there are specific safe transportation standards that must be met.
Shipping leak-prone items or and liquids via pallets across the UK requires adherence to specific safety standards. Items like liquids, adhesives, paints, engines, and gearboxes (eor anything that may be contaminated with oil) must undergo thorough flushing and drying before shipment.
Engines
- Drivers must have access to the dipstick, and any presence of oil will result in the engine being rejected.
- engines must be externally clean and dry from all fluids, especially oil
- please see the engine shipping page for more information
Liquids or similar which cannot be shipped
The following items are unsuitable for pallet transportation:
- Liquids Adhesives
- Paints
- Engines, generators, or other mechanical parts contaminated with oil (unless fully flushed and dried) and any oil residue will lead to rejection.
While most items can be shipped via pallet, it’s crucial to meet these safe transportation standards. Leaky items pose potential damage risks during transit.
